China’s steel export data in the first half of the year

In the first half of the year, China exported 43.583 million tons of steel products, a year-on-year increase of 31.3%

In June 2023, China exported 7.508 million tons of steel, a decrease of 848,000 tons from the previous month, and a month-on-month decrease of 10.1%; the cumulative export of steel from January to June was 43.583 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 31.3%.

In June, China imported 612,000 tons of steel, a decrease of 19,000 tons from the previous month, and a month-on-month decrease of 3.0%; from January to June, China imported 3.741 million tons of steel, a year-on-year decrease of 35.2%.

In June, China imported 95.518 million tons of iron ore and its concentrate, a decrease of 657,000 tons from the previous month, and a month-on-month decrease of 0.7%. From January to June, China imported 576.135 million tons of iron ore and its concentrate, a year-on-year increase of 7.7%.

In June, China imported 39.871 million tons of coal and lignite, an increase of 287,000 tons from the previous month, and a month-on-month increase of 0.7%. From January to June, China imported 221.93 million tons of coal and lignite, a year-on-year increase of 93.0%.
